Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2026: Getting Your Guests from Dubai to Yas Marina

The Formula 1 season finale returns to Yas Marina Circuit from 3 to 6 December 2026. For companies hosting clients, partners or VIP guests, the race weekend is a unique opportunity. It is also a logistics challenge: most guests stay in Dubai, and the circuit is in Abu Dhabi.

The distance, and the traffic

Yas Island is roughly 110 to 130 km from Dubai, depending on where your guests stay. On a normal day, the drive takes about 1 hour 15 minutes from Dubai Marina, and closer to 1 hour 30 minutes from Downtown Dubai. On race days, traffic around Yas Island builds up hours before the main sessions and again after the evening concerts.

That is why the transport plan matters as much as the hospitality package.

What a good race-weekend plan looks like

  • Departure times built backwards from the session. Work out when your guests must be in their seats or hospitality suite, add a security margin for circuit access, then set the pick-up time.

  • The right vehicle for each group. Luxury sedans or SUVs for VIPs, vans for small groups, coaches for larger delegations. Mixing vehicle types often costs less than one large coach that waits all day.

  • Late-night returns. After the race and the concerts, guests want to go home without waiting. Fixed return slots with a chauffeur already in position avoid the long queue for taxis.

  • One coordinator watching the timings. On a race weekend, plans change: a guest leaves early, another joins for dinner. A coordinator who adjusts in real time keeps everyone moving.

Book early

Race week is one of the busiest of the year for premium vehicles in the UAE, and GITEX Global starts in Dubai the very next day. Chauffeurs and luxury vehicles get booked weeks in advance. If you are hosting guests, secure your transport by early November.
